Dear Santa

All year long, she has been asking and dreaming of having a real puppy. This little girl has a facination with animals, espically dogs. She wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up. For a 3 yr old thats a pretty big deal if you ask me. When we went to the Tree Farm to see santa, she patiently waited her turn. Then she asked the big guy, or I should say told the big guy that she wanted a real puppy for christmas. What is a parent to do? She is such a sweet little girl and is always on her best behavior. Her daddy kept saying "its a no pet christmas". Then yesterday, he told me him and santa had made a deal. Because of the storm that is blanketing Minnesota right now he couldnt wait until christmas eve to pick her up, so he went today!!!! He told santa that we would keep her warm until christmas morning so he can put her under the tree in her home made doggie house that will someday be used as a toybox. Santa and hubby are the best!!! She is a sweet baby girl. An English Springer Spaniel, 8 weeks old. Right now as i look over at hubby she is on his shoulder sleeping. Christmas morning pics are gonna be priceless!!!!!

Oh My Heavens!!!!!

I had a chance to participate in My So Called Junk's Life Shabby Pink Christmas Swap and boy am I happy that I did! Just lookie at what a received in the mail today from Betty over at Sammygirlblog.blogspot.com!I am still just shocked and amazed at what she made me. This is a photo of my Emma that has been on the bottom of my blog for the longest time. I never thought in a million years that I would ever get anything like this! I will treasure it forever and ever. It is my new favorite ornament!!! Betty, you really outdid yourself and I have to say again, THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!!!!!! This is the back of the ornament . The detail in these just amazes me. There so beautiful. I could stare at them for hours!

Oh christmas tree oh christmas tree............you know the rest. Ahhhhhh it is DONE! Decorated with all of my favorite ornaments and treasures. It is a wonderful tree,smells fab,looks fab, and is just amazing to me. I got the tree decorating bug from my gramma, ya know that certain "look" about it. It just comes out of me, her i mean. Weather its sewing or crafting, but most of all she shines through me at christmas time. I miss her so so much. When i was a little girl on christmas eve she would come over and she insisted on sleepin on the couch. I think it was because she wanted to fall asleep lookin at the tree. Maybe she had a chit chat with santa too. Who knows. But each year I feel her more and more at christmas time, each time i look at our tree. It helps me.And this little christmas angel, well my gramma shines through her too. She has her grammas middle name, she looks like her, she acts like her, and my gramma would have spoiled her rotten if she were still here. Since she is not here any longer, her daddy and i will gladly do it for her.

Emma really got into decorating the tree this year. Every ornament she put on the tree she would respond with "perfect"! She enjoyed every minute of it.

Look at that satisfied look on her face! She is just my perfect little angel and i love her so much it makes my heart ache!

She will keep these certain traditions in her heart always. I just know that she will. Every year i will look forward to decorating the tree with my daughter and i will be more than happy to watch her grow with these traditions and know that she will someday pass them off to her own children.

Oh Christmas Treee

Today we headed out to Jans Tree Farm to chop down our tree for this year. Each and every year it gets better and better!!!!! There are so many trees to choose from. This year it didnt take us that long to find the perfect tree. Drew and Nick were ahead of us scoping out the pickens.Emma thought that this was a great tree. Just her size but this little tree needs to grow alot more before it can be cut down. It is a cute little tree.We FOUND IT!!!!! Look at this beauty of a tree! PERFECT!!!! Full, strong,smells great!!!!! It now sits in our living room smelling wonderful,drinking water and the top literally hits the ceiling! I LOVE IT!!!!! Emma was the supervisor watching daddy and making sure he did a good job. She is a great helper!

We are all very happy with our tree and our time at the tree farm. Gramma went with us and took the kids back to her house for the night for cookie baking and fun. Now the hubby and I are gonna go water the tree and spend some time together without the kiddos!!!!! This means that I get to sleep in tomorrow! YAY!!!!!

Ree Drumond and The Mall of America!!!

We arrived at the Mall of America at aprox 10:00 a.m. There was a tad of a line but nothing to fret over. I was happy where we were. At about 11:00 am they guided us through and gave wristbands. The excitement grew and grew, and so did the line behind us! i took this while waiting!And my dear sweet mother in law joined me and she went up to the second level and took this pic of me patiently waiting and happy as ever!!!! ( need to go back on that diet soon) i thought to myself after i saw this pic of me. I tell ya i dont feel this way but apparently I look this way which does not make me happy at ALL!!!!My MIL reading Ree's book, being enticed after reading page after page, she went and got herself a book too, which i was very happy about!FINALLY, the moment we had been waitng for! After standing for 4 hrs she had arrived!!! Is'nt she just Beautimus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She said that she was nervous and sweating! I yelled out "so am i!" I think that i made her feel better!She answered some questions which i must say were a HOOT!!!!!!!! I was estatic to hear that she is going to release another book! This one about the Black Heels to Tractor Wheels!!! I'm so buyin it. I really think her life should be made into a movie. I really am not a big book reader but throw me a book about Ree and Im on it!Mr. Man showed up with the little punks to say HI and take some pics. The boys were a hoot! Watching them brought back memories when my boys were young and messed with eachother. They soon scurried off, to Im sure ride some more rides and eat the awesomness food the the ol mall of america has to provide!

Hi Sweet thang!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My MIL LOVES HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!When it was my turn to go up i kept thinking to myself, "what the hell do i say or ask her" Oh no im at a loss!!!!!!!!!! I felt like the ultimate reject!!!! She said to me " im nuthin" i was like " oh please!!!! You are a total inspiration!!!!! to me and many!!!! All i can say is that when i lay my head to rest tonight, i will still be smitten,inspired and totally cheeky about meeting Ree today! I will have sweet dreams, thats for sure!!!! Thank you Ree, for inspiring me and many others out there across our great nation! You are a fixture in my life until the end! May you always have the best that life has to offer! I love ya more than my Luggage :)

I am SOOO giddy i could SCREAM!!!

Soooooooo tonight I took my daughter with me to Ladies On the Loose, in Zimmerman, Mn. It consists of shopping at antique shops all through the town. We first hit Ramshackled Treasures and i picked up a few books to put in my bathroom. Then we headed to Les Junk!!!!! First let me say that i have been SEARCHING like a mad woman for a vanity for Emmas room. I have been to every store imaginable online looking for the PERFECT piece to put in her room!!!! Well as we were gazing at all the lovely, cheap priced goodies we meandered upstairs to the "childrens room". I was just lookin around at all the pretties and when i turned around to see where emma was i saw her sitting on this bench!!!! She was pretending to put on makeup and i literally melted to the floor!!! I couldnt believe it! She had found the most beautiful vanity I have ever seen! Immediatly I ran over and went to grab the tag to see how much it was (not that i cared)! $30.00 BUCKS!!!!! Yes $30.00 friggin BUCKS!!! SOLD!!!!!!!!! I took the tag off and ran downstairs to the cashier and gave her the tag and told her i wanted to look around some more but i WOULD be purchasing this piece. As soon as i was ready to pay a woman walked in, huffin and puffin because she said she was going to buy it. Im like "sorry"!!!!! Its MINE!!!!! I felt a tiny bit bad but really, it was meant to be! So here it sits in Emmas room. We need Daddy to hang the mirror for her. Im now looking for pretty non breakable jars to perdy up and then ill be getting her some blush brushes to sit on top of it!!! Now can i SCREAM with GIDDINESS!!!!!!!!!

Soooooooo here we go with week 2 of Red Writings 12 weeks of christmas. This week ill be sharing a craft that i made for my daughters room. Ill be making one of each for my 3 kids but all will be different. I have started another one, for my son but i have Emmas finished so ill show off some pics.

I picked up this type of Advent Calendar last year for $7 bucks. It usuallly sold for $30.oo but it was on clearance so I bought more!!! They have sat in their boxes until recently. I had a blast making them. They were blue and white and that wasent cuttin it for me so I went to town. Took alotta paint, alotta patience and a lotta glue but I loved how it turned out and Emmas in love with it! BEFORE

Shopping

Here we go with week 6 of Red Writings 12 weeks of christmas. This week the focus is on SHOPPING!!!!!!!!!! Speaking of shopping, ill be starting my shopping offically tomorrow. I will be focusing on my parents so i can get that over with and get the gifts for them sent out to colorado. My shopping consists of lists and checking them twice. My mama wants a Pea Coat this year and i happend to find one at Target on sale for $29.99 Cant beat that price.

As far as the rest of the fam, we do alot of the same, make lists, check twice and make a budget and hubby lets me go to town. We do alot of online shopping and most places we shop we get rewards so we put those toward airline tickets and things like that. So thats about it all in all. Bring on the SHOPPIN!!!!!!!!
