~35~
Well, it's that time of the year again. It is my Birthday, and I am 35. And, I am ok with that. It dosent feel much different than 34 but I do feel somewhat different. Maturity, life, ya know, who knows but it's not a bad feeling at all. I definatly feel that I have grown as a mother and woman. I accomplished some things that I wanted to accomplish and I am proud of myself for that. The kids are quickly growing faster and faster everyday and it makes me realize they won't always be here and soon enough one by one they will spread their wings and fly. Hopefully not too far from the nest. Drew is busy as ever studying and gettin fabulous grades. I have some goodies in a shop that I sell and LOVE doing that. I still often wonder what I wnt to be when I grow up. Who knows where the road will take me but I know that with every year I will become more wiser, so hopefully next year I may or may not know wht I want to be. For now, I will look back on the last year and bid 34 goodbye and welcome 35 with loving arms!!!!

Proud Of My Mama
Soooooooo, my mom has had this hutch for a bit now. She knew but didn't know what she wanted to do with it. After finally finding the color that she wanted, she went to town. Keep in mind that my mother has arthritis so it was a bit tough and took its nasty toll on her. I'm pretty sure that she can't move much today. But in the end it was worth it. She did a FANTASTIC job and surprised me big time!!! I'm not one to take a few weeks to finish a project but I have learned something from her. Take your time!!! Because in the end, it's worth it. This piece is GORGEOUS!!!! I hope that someday in the wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy wayyyyyyyyyy future it will adorn my home. My mom and I live in different states so helping her decorate after was not too much of a pickle. It was cute to hear her saying that I needed to fly out this weekend to help her. Now, we are planning on taking a road trip out there in the near future, and she has agreed that I will have full reign to decorate. I love that my mama needs me this way. It makes me feel special and important. I have told her certain things to start collecting so when I pull up in her driveway we can get right too work. It's gonna be a memorable BLAST!!!! You did a great job Mom, and I'm proud of ya!!! Here are a few pics of my moms handy work! Didn't she do GREAT???!!!!!

I think i might be a little loopy
After my last post I realized that I had already posted the Valentine pics of Em. Ooooops! My bad! So I thought a new post was in order. I have a coffee table that I despise and living here in Minnesota it's way to cold to take it outside to paint at the moment. I was flat out tired of looking at it and it was a major eyesore. Having 3 kids it's gone through some abuse. As I was surfing the Internet highway the other night I came across Dear Lily. There she had a wonderful post about how she covered her ottoman. I knew that I could do it too so I hit Walmart the next day and found some of my favorite fabric to cover that dreadful coffee table. Today I spent about 2 hours on it start to finish and LOVE how it turned out. The only thing I didn't do that she did was hot glue the trim on. That was sewn on with the skirt to ensure when I put it in the wash it won't come out a mess. Been there, done that. When the hubby came in he was like "oh, where did you get that"? With a great big smile, I said " I made it"! He thinks that it looks great, and I couldn't agree more. So, if you have a crappy coffee table or an ottoman, this is an easy project to do. I highly recommend it!

Valentine's Day
It's about that time to spread the love!!! Em and I did a little photo shoot to ring in the LOVE like we always do. We had a great time. On Friday her and her daddy will be going to a special daddy daughter valentine dance so today they went out and bought her a new dress for the occasion. It's a rare editions dress and oh so perdy! She picked it out herself! That's my girl!
It will be a magical night for the both of them. Sighhh. I'll close with a few more of our photo shoot valentine pics.

I am a BAD blogger!!!!
Seriously!!! And I am sorry for that, not that there is alot of people that follow me and read anyhow, but with that being said, I shouldn't neglect the few that do stop by to read once in awhile. Things around here are busy as ever. Keeping up with 3 kids and 30 million piles of laundry and a house to clean keeps a girl busy. I am starting to spring clean hoping that it will invite summer just a tad bit sooner than normal. Believe me, I will welcome it with open loving arms when it does arrive. I can almost already feel the warm breeze and grass in between my toes. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.......................................................
In the meantime we have a few different things going on that are very exciting!!! We have been searching and searching for that perfect princess bed for our little princess who will be 5 in April. It has NOT been easy let me tell ya. I had unrealistic dreams that when it came down to it was wayyyyy out of our budget so hubby and I made a compromise and decided that we would scour and scour the Internet until we found something we both liked and more importantly knew Em would like and was in our price range. We FOUND IT!!! So without further ad dew I'd like to introduce you to Miss Em's big girl bed!!!!
It is going to look sooooo pretty in her room! I'm sad that it will take 4-6 weeks to get here but I will just have to hold out. It's going to be a huge surprise to her and I can't wait to lay in her bed with her and snuggle up like a princess!!!
We have been busy with the camera too. I decided that I had better get Em's Valentine day cards ready before it was too late so here are a few shots from the other day. She is such a natural!
She is a little ham i tell ya!
Some of you know that I LOVE to sew and craft!!! Soooo I have been busy sewing some Burlap Bag to add to my space at Ramshackled Treasures. The one thing that I hate about crafting is letting the pretties go. It can be tough. But then I think of the joy others get and then I think of the joy I get knowing that someone loved something that I made and bought it. I think of that pretties journey and the smiles that it brings to those that have purchased them. These bags will be hard to part with, but I know that they will go to great homes and great people, and that makes me a Happy Girl!!!
Seeeeeee!!! Told ya!!! How do I ever part with them?? I know it has to be done though, because I have come to this conclusion and I tell myself this every time, but now I am sticking to my guns. Everything I make that is a first will stay with me. I owe that to myself at least.....right? With that being said the bag that you see on the bottom is Mine!!! It was my first. I did not use any patterns with these bags. Did it all freestyle and I am itching to make more. I should have 3 to take to the store by Saturday and I hope that they find homes soon cause I don't want them lonely. And if they are lonely I will have to bring them home and use them myself, cause I think there that perdy :)
So all in all, I have been a busy gal here in freezing Minnesota, waiting patiently for the summer breeze to roll through. Until then, I will NOT get the winter blues. I will sew and decorate and paint and patiently wait.
