Valentine's Day

It's about that time to spread the love!!! Em and I did a little photo shoot to ring in the LOVE like we always do. We had a great time. On Friday her and her daddy will be going to a special daddy daughter valentine dance so today they went out and bought her a new dress for the occasion. It's a rare editions dress and oh so perdy! She picked it out herself! That's my girl!

It will be a magical night for the both of them. Sighhh. I'll close with a few more of our photo shoot valentine pics.

I am a BAD blogger!!!!

Seriously!!! And I am sorry for that, not that there is alot of people that follow me and read anyhow, but with that being said, I shouldn't neglect the few that do stop by to read once in awhile. Things around here are busy as ever. Keeping up with 3 kids and 30 million piles of laundry and a house to clean keeps a girl busy. I am starting to spring clean hoping that it will invite summer just a tad bit sooner than normal. Believe me, I will welcome it with open loving arms when it does arrive. I can almost already feel the warm breeze and grass in between my toes. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.......................................................
In the meantime we have a few different things going on that are very exciting!!! We have been searching and searching for that perfect princess bed for our little princess who will be 5 in April. It has NOT been easy let me tell ya. I had unrealistic dreams that when it came down to it was wayyyyy out of our budget so hubby and I made a compromise and decided that we would scour and scour the Internet until we found something we both liked and more importantly knew Em would like and was in our price range. We FOUND IT!!!  So without further ad dew I'd like to introduce you to Miss Em's big girl bed!!!!
It is going to look sooooo pretty in her room! I'm sad that it will take 4-6 weeks to get here but I will just have to hold out. It's going to be a huge surprise to her and I can't wait to lay in her bed with her and snuggle up like a princess!!!

We have been busy with the camera too. I decided that I had better get Em's Valentine day cards ready before it was too late so here are a few shots from the other day. She is such a natural!

She is a little ham i tell ya!

Some of you know that I LOVE to sew and craft!!! Soooo I have been busy sewing some Burlap Bag to add to my space at Ramshackled Treasures. The one thing that I hate about crafting is letting the pretties go. It can be tough. But then I think of the joy others get and then I think of the joy I get knowing that someone loved something that I made and bought it. I think of that pretties journey and the smiles that it brings to those that have purchased them. These bags will be hard to part with, but I know that they will go to great homes and great people, and that makes me a Happy Girl!!!

Seeeeeee!!! Told ya!!! How do I ever part with them?? I know it has to be done though, because I have come to this conclusion and I tell myself this every time, but now I am sticking to my guns. Everything I make that is a first will stay with me. I owe that to myself at least.....right? With that being said the bag that you see on the bottom is Mine!!! It was my first. I did not use any patterns with these bags. Did it all freestyle and I am itching to make more. I should have 3 to take to the store by Saturday and I hope that they find homes soon cause I don't want them lonely. And if they are lonely I will have to bring them home and use them myself, cause I think there that perdy :)
So all in all, I have been a busy gal here in freezing Minnesota, waiting patiently for the summer breeze to roll through. Until then, I will NOT get the winter blues. I will sew and decorate and paint and patiently wait.

The Fairy Door

The Fairy Door has arrived.....finally!!! Took me long enough to finish it lol. I came real close to just buying one but then I knew, I'd wind up just making one and that's what I did. All I did was order and unfinished doll house door and the rest is history. Emma came into her room to find it and was so excited! At first she thought that the door would open for her but I had to explain that only the Fairies could open the door. Needless to say, she wants to lose a tooth so the Fairy can visit her. She doesn't know yet that the Fairy will visit even if she hasn't lost a tooth. Silly child.

I DID IT!!!!!!!!!

It was time consuming, but ohhhhhh soooooo worth it! Emma's Heirloom coat is finally  finished! For a minute I thought that I would'nt get it done but I did! Emma's Christmas Recital is Saturday and she will get to show it off that night.  It's a heavy coat I tell ya. When I went to an antique store and found a chenille blanket on sale for $18.00, i freaked and i "knew it was perfect"! Totally!!! The lining of the jacket is a blanket that Emma used often as a baby. I hope that one day it is passed down to her daughter. I love to make things for her, but this one pattern, there's something about it that has an extra piece of love attached to it. When I was making it thought of the future...ALOT! She along with my other children are growing way to fast for my britches. She is my last and  she bores holes into my soul when she looks at me and calls me "Mama". I eat it up and cherish every sweet word she says to me. We have a connection, most mothers know what I am taking about. She is happy, therefore, I am happy. I hope that you enjoy these pictures as much as I do.

There are so many things that I am looking forward to this holiday season. These are a few photos from last year. Seeing your child in awe over the decorations on the tree is an amazing feeling. Emma is our last child so I soak it all in as much as I can.
Baking and setting out cookies for santa is a given, but having the memory of a child and her grandmother is priceless. This year not only will Gramma be here but so will Nana (she lives in colorado) and Papa. The joy I will have to see thwm doing this together is again priceless.
I have already decorated my porch for the holidays. This photo is last years but you get the idea. I like to decorate the porch the day after Halloween because lets face it, its frickin freeking here in Minnesnowta pretty darn close after halloween and I dont wanna freeze my butt off. I love my porch during thanksgiving and christmas time. I feel like Chevy Chase in Christmas Vacation when these lights go on :)
I know that this year will be magical. My family will be here and my house will be busting at the seams with Love, Cheer and Sweet memories to last a lifetime!

Halloween

Our Little Jessie went trick or treating and had a fabulous time!!! She made out like a bandit and will have candy until next Halloween I think. Ya know how Daddy's are with candy. I decided to make her costume again this year. I find it jut means a little more when you put your heart and soul into a project, espically for someone else. Her reaction was priceless when she saw herself. She stared in the mirror and was like "WOWWWWWWWW"!!!!! That made me all sappy. I have a few more pics that I would like to share but my neighbor hasent sent them to me yet so I went ahead and posted this one so theres not a halloween post in december lol. I hope that you all had a memorable happy halloween with your loved ones. I know I did :)

Poor Baby girl

Little Miss Emma is not feeling so hot for the past few days. Poor thing is just not herself and it breaks my heart that I can't just "fix" her. She rarely gets sick so when it hits it's a doozie. I am managing to get her to at least drink but at the moment she is sleeping. This all falls on my first girly weekend in a LONG time. My good friend Dianne is sitting next to me playing with polymer clay making cute little pin thingies. I can'd put a name to them because I am exhausted from being up all night with Emma. I have managed to bake like we had planned. I pulled alot of Pioneer Woman out this weekend and other than not being able to take Emma to the pumpkin patch today because of her being ill, it has been a pretty good weekend and we have had a blast. We have made everything from food, witch dolls, pillows, and 1halloween costume. Now if Emma could be feeling better anytime now that would be great. I just hate to see her sick. I hope you al have had a great weekend.
