Poor Baby girl

Little Miss Emma is not feeling so hot for the past few days. Poor thing is just not herself and it breaks my heart that I can't just "fix" her. She rarely gets sick so when it hits it's a doozie. I am managing to get her to at least drink but at the moment she is sleeping. This all falls on my first girly weekend in a LONG time. My good friend Dianne is sitting next to me playing with polymer clay making cute little pin thingies. I can'd put a name to them because I am exhausted from being up all night with Emma. I have managed to bake like we had planned. I pulled alot of Pioneer Woman out this weekend and other than not being able to take Emma to the pumpkin patch today because of her being ill, it has been a pretty good weekend and we have had a blast. We have made everything from food, witch dolls, pillows, and 1halloween costume. Now if Emma could be feeling better anytime now that would be great. I just hate to see her sick. I hope you al have had a great weekend.

It's Been 4-EVER!!!!!

Golly, I cant believe that I have been such a slacker with posting for so long!!! I hope that you will forgive me. We have been so busy the past month or so. We had birthdays, the state fair, getting kids ready for school and I have been working on making some new things to take to the shop for fall. It never ends I tell ya. Just yesterday I was talking to my mom (Hi Mom :) and she was reminding me that I needed to update so as I was sitting here I thought OK nows a good time. I gave it a bit of a makeover while I was at it. I have spent the last few hours also catching up as much as I can on all of your blogs and they all look great!!!
We had a great summer filled with so many things, camping, fishing, running through the sprinklers, swimming lessons, horse camp, and the list goes on and on. Now its time to get this house in order for Fall. I have been doing a little bit of decorating and even bought a few candles to welcome the fall weather. Emma still hasn't decided on what she wants to be for Halloween, she is always changing her mind. I guess the few years I had to decide what she would be are over :( Either way, she needs to make up her mind so I can get it ordered soon. Jordan wants to be a ninja or a clone ranger, he is still trying to make up his mind too. Nick, well he is 16 and to him those days are over. Tis life I suppose. Its all bittersweet.
Emma started Preschool on the 13Th and all went well. I on the other hand managed to hold it together until she walked down the hallway and I lost it. Then a lady said " Just wait until you drop her off at the dorm", I lost it more!!!! Drew managed to pry me out of the school and we went to get some groceries and before I knew it it was time to pick her up. As soon as she saw me she screamed "MOMMMMMYYYYYY" and ran right into my arms for the best hug I think I have ever received and was on cloud nine!!! She had a wonderful day and can't wait to go back, which will be tomorrow :)
Sooooo, that's a little bit of what has been going on in my little world. I promise to keep up better and post more. I'll be back with some pictures here soon. I hope that you all have been well.

Ohhh the strawberries!!!

It's been a heck of a long while since my last update. We have been soooo busy its not even funny. So tonight I thought that I should update a bit. We go to Apple Jacks Orchard every year for our annual Pumpkin Picking. Its a grand place and we have made a tremendous amount of memories there but one thing that we have missed out on time and time again is the annual strawberry picking. We always seem to miss it by a few days, but this year, oh this year we hit the mother load!!!! It was decided on a whim at about 1 am in the morning that I would wake at the crack of dawn to take two of my three kids to go pick strawberries. And I am glad that I did! What a wonderful few hours we spent at the orchard picking! I have posted a few pics of our day and I have to say that I cant wait until next year!!!!! What a grand time we had!

And she turns 4......

Ohhhhh what a day that it was. Our little princess turned 4 on April 10th. We had her party at her dance studio and invited all of her princess friends. It was a great turnout and although the time just flew by it will be remembered forever.
We hired Emmas hairdresser to come to her party and do all the girls hair and makeup for them. Emma of course was up first and she loved being doted on. Tammy and Crystal took great care of our girl and dolled her right up for her party. I can't say that I have ever had the pleasure of having my hair and nails done at the same time. Anything for our little girl!!!!I made a comment to everyone that this is as pageant as we get. She could have been in a pageant. Just gorgeous!!! I ordered her outfit from Hong Kong on Ebay and added the flowers to it that I made. i also made the headband for her which was oh so easy to make. I'm the type of girl that sees something for sale and say to myself " i can make that", so I did and she loves it.Now this picture I think I will frame for her room. I LOVE it. She kept giving herself kisses and I fell in love all over again.I can't believe that she is 4 now. It seems like yesterday I was giving birth to her. Time just flies and I have so many cherished memories of her. I love her so so much and I will forever enjoy planning her perfect birthday parties with her daddy. We love you to the moon and back Emma! Happy Birthday Sweet Baby Girl.

Brown Thumb?....I think not!!!!

Mimi was a gem and sent me these Chinese Forget-Me-Nots in my basket from a swap we participated in and I had to plant them! I just didnt know where to start cause lets face it, I cant keep a houseplant alive for the life of me. On a recent outing to Walmart we were strolling along and I said to myself "HEY!!" Thats exactly what I need to get these babies growin. Little did I know that it would be so easy when I turned the box over to read the directions. For $6.00 i couldnt go wrong.....right???? So with that I came home and I think read the directions another hundred times and decided that I would start them the next morning while everyone was still in bed. It was the first thing that I thought of when I woke so I bolted downstairs, started the coffee pot and let the dog out. I read the directions oh another 20 times and took a deep breath and started. Let me just say that this was SOOOOOOOOOO easy. I used every little seed that there was planting 3 in each pod. I put the cover on and said a little prayer for the seedlings to grow strong. I checked the next day, nuthin, day after that, nuthin. It went on like this for about 5 days and just when I thought that I should just give up on my "Green Thumb"...........

Look what I woke to on like day 6!!!!!!! There budding!!!!!! They are sooooo tiny and cute, and I am just a giddy girl!!! I actually did it!!!!! Today I checked and there are even more budding! Starting tomorrow they will be placed outside in some Sunshine and then I will bring them in at night so they dont get to cold in our cool Minnesota evenings. I loved doing this and I will definatly post updates on how they are doing. I actually think I can do this now!!!!!!
