We hunt and hunt for the perfect christmas tree. I always try to get my husband to cut one down that wont fit in our house, oh well i dont think ill ever give up that endevor. I love me a big christmas tree!!!!
Once we have found the perfect tree we head inside to Jans gift shop and, well, SHOP!!! We do see Santa and the kids get to tell them what they want for christmas. This place is sooooo popular that you have to take a number. it reminds when Ralphie and his brother are waiting in line at the store, that line, yeah thats what its like. Jan also has this crib by the fireplace full of barn kittens that Emma goes nuts over. As you can see by the look on her face she is totally delighted!!!
There are sooooo many things going on at Jans. You can watch jewlery being made, thow tomahawks, theres a firepit for weenie roasting and a special girl that sings christmas carols. So beautiful, again i tear up everytime, even as a type this i am overloaded with emotion just thinking about our next trip.

Oh how I would love to have a real tree! This sounds like so much fun...kind of reminds me of our trips to the pumpkin patch in a way, but hunting for the perfect tree would even more fun.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your tradition!

How cool! I always wanted to cut down my own tree...but I'm not a fan of tree sap! :)
ReplyDeleteWay cooler than seeing Santa at the mall! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun tradition! Santa is usually so busy in December too.
ReplyDeletethat is the coolest place!!!!! i wanna throw a tomahawk! :D TFS
ReplyDeleteWhat fun!!! I would love to go to a tree farm like this. But I live in SoCal & there are no tree farms like that here (at least I don't know about one). Plus it's too lot at Christmas to have a real tree. But I can dream. This is so fun getting to read about all the different memories & traditions of everyone.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful tradition. And I really enjoyed your photo "framing"
